Easter Bunny nightmare
...I'm guessing delivery of Easter Eggs didn't go so smoothly for this guy.
(And if you're reading this, Hester, looks like I'm not the only one who can send dark materials through the post!)

the seas survived
It is still national poetry month, too. Here's a bonus link to a great infographic about haiku.
I used one of the post office's stamped postcards to paste the book page onto. I didn't realize the PO sold these until recently. The cards are fairly small (and the pre-stamp fairly large!) but they are decent value for money if you are buying other things online.

A Jeanarinth and a bonus link
I had a lot of fun making my labyrinth mail art, so I made one for Jean as well, with a tiny bit more color, inspired by the 2013 Global Forever stamp.

Mail art from France - with bonus stamps!
I love getting mail art from Tony M - he always has such interesting compositions. This one has a postcard inside, with a story behind it (and a behind on the front of it, badumbum).
And the other sides....
Now go back and take a look at that stamp on the envelope - it is a stamp made from the sheet of faux postage stamps of my 3D letters that I sent Tony way back when - very cool! The French equivalent of Zazzle etc is so much better - much more focus on the uploaded picture, and none on the company.
Thank you, Tony, this was a very special envelope indeed!

MMSA file folder exchange
I was going to skip the file folder exchange - basically using a file folder as a giant postcard - but in the end I used selvage and some of my faux stamps to create one.
And in return I received this fantastic geometric one from Claudia.

More bonus mail from Terrie P
Terrie and I have ended up exchanging postcard mail art outside of the MMSA swaps. She says she likes my 'graphic designs'. I really like the art she makes, too, so it's a win win situation. Great bright colors to brighten up the day after yet another snowstorm. Thanks, winter!

You've been scannered!
The scanner has been doing some interesting things lately.
I received this great postcard from Honi C outside the usual MMSA exchanges. This is what the scanner thinks it looks like:
And this is what it really looks like:
Even what it really looks like scanned the text a lot darker. However the weird thing is the flipping of the purple and green. I had to scan it in a different angle to get it to accept it.

Le Labyrinthe
I sent off an entry in a call for mail art with the theme 'Le Labyrinthe'. Entries that have already been sent are blogged here - there are some amazing interpretations, and an amazing number of them. The closing date for this one is May 1st, so there's a little bit of time left to send one in (letters to Europe take about 5-10 days to get there).
Jean W suggested I send something off for this one - she thought of my Pacem letters when she saw the theme. I had a lot of fun adapting my font to this one, although at times it was hard to keep track of the connections. My scanner was *not* excited about scanning this one, so I had to photoshop an image of the stamp from the web onto a jpg.
Let's see if this one manages to arrive at its destination.

Strays
Here are two strays that took much longer to get here than their swap counterparts - perhaps they just prefer to travel alone?
One from Cara from the Altered postcard swap, and one from Joyce from the purple & green one.
