Today is the solstice... time to celebrate the slow return of the sun in the northern hemisphere!
The special postmark celebrates 2025 as being the 250th year since the start of the postal service in the United States. The interesting thing about the USA is that the postal service is written into the constitution - I wonder what it will look like in the future... will we recognize it in 10 years time?
I try to be optimist and think it will be even better ;)

DeleteI was reading about the Danes not getting home deliveries after Dec 30. 400 years of service ending. All the mailboxes being dismantled :(
ReplyDeleteSo sad to see this. I think their postboxes (at least the ones I've seen) are very attractive - a bit expensive to ship one here, I imagine
DeleteIt's been so dark today, loads of rain. I'll be glad to see a bit more sun in the mornings. I go out with the dog and it's too dark! (I go out to stop him if he barks.)
