For today's Sunday Stamps, C is for Calidad Turistica - Quality Tourism. This concept focuses on maximizing the visitor experience while promoting sustainability, responsibility, and high-standard services, moving beyond mass tourism to create meaningful, authentic, and low-impact journeys. It prioritizes quality over quantity, fostering economic, social, and environmental benefits for both tourists and local communities.
There are 5 Cs associated with this concept - culture, cuisine, community, craftsmanship, and convenience.
The stamp was issued in 2019 as part of a tourism series, and sent to me by Eva.

Correos issues two stamps dedicated to tourism every year, usually in January or February. Usually, these are interesting designs. I like the colours on this one. I think I sent it many times!
ReplyDelete(PS There is a typo on the title)
Thanks for spotting the typo! I agree, the colors on this one are perfect
DeleteStriking, I like the sunglasses view.
ReplyDeleteI find it very inviting
DeleteA great C stamp, indeed. Love the sunglasses!
ReplyDeleteThanks for sharing!
ReplyDeleteA goal of "meaningful, authentic, and low-impact journeys" sounds great, however I would think it would better serve the businesses in the business to have the mass tourism! The five Cs are such a great addition to the C for Culidad Turistica!
ReplyDeleteI have this stamp also, but I'd no idea there was so much more to it than the reflection in the sunglasses!
