There are three stamps in the rural row that feature farming, even though they seem rather abstract at first.
Center-pivot irrigation.
Cherry orchard.
Cranberry harvest.
I have these stamps, just haven't brought myself to use them yet.

Yes I think they would be difficult to part with but certainly have a lot of potential for your mail art.
ReplyDeleteI'm just waiting for the perfect match for the remaining stamps.
DeleteI think I've seen the first one before, and thought it was some abstract painting!
ReplyDeleteLove the aerial views. Seeing patchwork quilt patterns of farms and fields from an airplane, for me, makes the flying bit worthwhile.
Everything about these stamps appeals to me.
DeleteInteresting stamps, especially the first design. I've never thought of a cranberry havest before. Are the figures standing in a vat of cranberries?
ReplyDeleteThey grow in cranberry bogs, I guess like a natural vat.
DeleteThese are wow, and I totally missed them...thanks for sharing them!
ReplyDeleteOne of my favorite sets, glad you also like them.
Deleteand there is a jigsaw puzzle of that sheet of stamps which is very cool
ReplyDeleteThat's actually how I bought the stamp sheet - the puzzle comes with a set of stamps. I thought I'd rather get that rather than pay the high price for this sheet on eBay.
DeleteIncredible, amazing stamps, and so original in this Sunday Stamps' theme!
ReplyDeleteI noticed that the 2nd and 3rd ones are photos but still cannot believe the 1st one is an aerial view, too!
They make me curious to see also the 'nature' and 'urban' serie. Maybe for a future Sunday stamps theme!??
Thank you for sharing!
I'll have to remember to show the rest if they fit the theme. I already showed one on the theme of ships, and the roundhouse on the theme of trains - so 7 left to go.
DeleteThese are great. They remind me a Spanish recent film called "La isla mÃnima" (Translated as 'Mashland'). The images at the beginning could fit well on stamps!
ReplyDeleteAerial views are sometimes intriguing.
Sounds interesting. And seeing things from planes is always interesting - they often seem unrecognizable.
