In case you don't browse my list of favorite blogs on the lower right side of the page, take a look at Eva's latest blog for her mail art project The Oz Postcard Project for a special Pictorial Postmark that I thought worked well for this fun call.
That was a great postmark, (scarecrow) how do you find out about stuff like that?!
ReplyDeleteThe pictorial postmarks issued by temporary postal stations (Sta) are listed in the Postal Bulletin, which USPS issues online every 2 weeks (usually comes out late Wednesday/early Thursday).
DeleteGo to usps.com, scroll down to the bottom of the page, click on Forms and Publications, then click on Postal Bulletin. Inside each Postal Bulletin is a tab (html version) or page (pdf version) that lists the pictorial postmarks.

ReplyDeleteThanks for the direct link.
DeleteThanks to both of you, looks like you got in on the best one!
ReplyDeleteThese do change on a regular basis, so if you are interested in them check the Postal Bulletin regularly. The holidays are coming up, so there should be quite a few Christmas ones coming.
