Sunday Stamps - cycles - bi, tri and motor
I originally didn't have a post for this theme, then this morning I remembered this strip of setenant stamps from USPS issued in 2012.
I have used three of them on mail art, two were for a mail art call on bicycles.
To see more bicycles, tricycles and motorbikes, head to Sunday Stamps.
You remembered me that mail art call. I went to the blog to see your contributions, and mine again. I discovered that one of the postcards arrived without one of the elements (some tape). Funny!
ReplyDeleteThe game of mail art is always interesting - sometimes the journey adds something, sometimes it take something away.
DeleteNice stamp serie, and great envelopes you created!
ReplyDeleteThank you - they are tough to find great envelopes to match, but eventually I find something. Only one left to go - this series of envelopes has taken over 2 years so far :)
DeleteOh, I do like this se-tenant!
ReplyDeleteI could never be a bike courier - those guys are a bit insane (as they must be in order to survive the messy streets)
and you know Mim, too, I see :)
You're right, those guys have no fear and don't mind getting banged up every now and again. Must help if you're an adrenaline junkie.
DeleteThe combination of the training bike stamp and the travails of training on your envelope is superbly amusing. I like the stamp strip it reminds me of those evolution of man drawings.
ReplyDeleteThanks! I really never thought i'd find a good match for this stamp. The strip is interesting - I really like the way the clouds are done.
