Fin(n)Badger

I don't have any sea mammals on stamps for this week's theme at Sunday Stamps. But I do have some on mail that arrived recently.

This beautiful envelope from Heleen arrived, accompanied by two more of the amazing December stamps.

And inside, an amazing creature - the underwater FinBadger. With a great platypus rubber stamp on the back of the envelope.

  1. Wow, this is a great great work!! You could add it to Sunday Stamps too... (I cheated a bit today).

    1. This was a big surprise, and yes, both the envelope and the card are fantastic.

  2. You could add it - that's a lovely whale and deserves to have an audience!
(it seems this was a harder theme than I expected it to be)
And, I didn't get any of those lovely Xmas stamps - still hoping for some from someone who doesn't care about seasonal postage...

And that's a cute drawing of you, which leads me to admitting I've always wondered where you picked up your name.

    1. OK, I added it :)

The other matter is a long story. I'll see if I can send you an email.

  4. Thank you for sharing, FinnBadger, and thank you all for your kind words!

And I become curious to know the story behind FinnBadger's name, too!..
@VioletSky: if you want I can send you mail with these stamps, too! If you want to let me know your address, you can find my email address written in my profile on my other blog, heleendevaan.blogspot.nl

  5. A lovely deep blue sea. I guess while meditating on the mollusc the fin badger must be patiently waiting for the mail boat to arrive.
