Great choice! I love Australian animals - the Kookaburra belonging to my favourite birds since ages - and these two stamps are new to me!
Thanks. I didn't know what a Tasmanian Devil looked like until I saw this stamp - the cartoon version is really not the same at all.
Hi Phillip - love seeing these two ... fun and I didn't know what a Tasmanian Devil looked like, though had heard of them ... cheers Hilary
I didn't either!
Australia has a whole series of stamps for its birds and animals including your two stamps. I'm still looking for the platypus.
I don't get much mail from Australia, so it was great to receive these two. I have received the platypus in the past.
Laughing kookaburra, always good on a film soundtrack, the owl is the only other bird I can think of that is used so extensively. I always love Australia's diverse animal stamps.
They make for great stamp subjects.
Australia has the cutest animals. Also the most deadly, but we'll concentrate on the cute ones.
I'm not sure how cute a Tasmanian Devil is... looks like it could have sharp teeth and a bad attitude :)
Aww.. We featured the same country for the letter A, you choose animals, I choosed flowers. :)http://www.postagejournal.com/sundaystamps103-a-is-for-australia/
Nice that we chose different topics.
