G is for Golf

From the fun set of 'Have a Ball' sports stamps, here's a very clever envelope I received in the August envelope exchange from Lynne. 

 Each stamp has some texture to it as well - on the golf stamp you can feel the dimples really well.

      I like the black and white postmark rather than the more common red one.

    The dimples are the most important; supposedly they make the ball fly further. I wonder if the same applies to the stamp.

      I never knew that about golf balls. Sadly, with the stamp I think it just travels at the normal (seemingly ever-slowing) speed.
