Sunday Stamps continues with a new A to Z. Let's see how far I can go a second time.
Today's stamp is from Russia, celebrating Artek, a children's holiday camp formerly in the USSR, now in Ukraine on the coast of the Black Sea. You can read more at the wikipedia page.
For more stamps with an A theme, head over to explore the links at Sunday Stamps.
Interesting to read the names of people who were at the camp.
ReplyDeleteI wonder if that large creature was a friendly mascot?!
I received this stamp some time ago, and I really like it (and its big size). But it took me a while to find out what it is about... :)
ReplyDeleteTHank you for letting us learn - I've received the stamp also and until today I thought it an illustration from a children's book only!
ReplyDeleteI had never heard of this camp. A stamp that widens our knowledge.
