A is for Artek

Sunday Stamps continues with a new A to Z. Let's see how far I can go a second time.

 Today's stamp is from Russia, celebrating Artek, a children's holiday camp formerly in the USSR, now in Ukraine on the coast of the Black Sea. You can read more at the wikipedia page.

    Interesting to read the names of people who were at the camp.
    I wonder if that large creature was a friendly mascot?!

    I received this stamp some time ago, and I really like it (and its big size). But it took me a while to find out what it is about... :)
