M is for Minerals

These stunning stamps were sent by Eric a couple of years ago.

 They feature the minerals gold, sulphur, labradorite and fluorite.


The stamps were issued as part of a 12-stamp set by La Poste in 2016 titled The Mineral World.

    How coincidental that I have sent a stamp with a mineral (quartz) in one of the two postcards from Morocco that, I'm afraid, are still in their way...!

      It arrived in decent time, about 8 days i think. And it have me a perfect stamp for later in the alphabet ;)

    Beautiful stamps! My late grandmother collected stones / minerals and I think thanks to her I love to see stones - even common ones are special :-)

      By the way, I think this collection is a delight for the founder of Sunday Stamps (if I remember well, she once wrote she likes minerals but/and minerals on stamps are hard to find)

    Wow, these mineral stamps are fascinating!
    Croatia has some great mineral stamps issued, so for the founder of Sunday Stamps, I may have it on my list for my next trip, I would just need the address :)

    As I studied geology as part of my university course I found this stamps fascinating - I even recognised some of the minerals.

      I recognized some, but certainly not all. This is the first time I'd heard of Labradorite, which I think is beautiful.

    Love the combination of typeface and mineral, beautiful colours. Look like they could be awards for 'best in show'.
