There's a plane symbol on this international world rate Belgian stamp. Interesting that the word world is in English, and that the design is a stamp and airmail sticker combined. And I'm not sure what to say about the color choice (sickly green?) not to mention King Philippe's expression on this stamp.
And an angel from Royal Mail's Christmas 2007 stamp set.

I hadn't thought of angels :)
ReplyDeleteSomeone commented on the expression of the king on this stamp last week. I don't find it strange (?).
In Spain, the C rate is "Rest of the world". That always makes me thing that you can send a letter to the Moon or Mars with a C rate...
I think there's something just a little off about the expression. I think it might be just a bit more expensive to send to the moon :)
DeleteMore than 1,55€? ;)
DeleteI am going to post a butterfly too.
ReplyDeleteThey always look good on stamps.
DeleteI like the idea of attaching an airmail to the stamp.
ReplyDeleteAn angel and a butterfly are lovely choices (and both are blue!)
This would have worked well for last week's theme, wouldn't it?
DeleteA beautiful diversity of the flying!
ReplyDeleteAnd I like the connection between the stamps, not only by the wings but also by the blue :-)
This was not on purpose - a complete coincidence.
DeleteI do like the angel which is both angelic and wonderfully wintery, I can't believe I don't remember the stamp set.
ReplyDeleteI thought it was more recent, I was surprised to find it was from 2007.
DeleteI'm longing to see a real blue butterfly. For now i will have to make do with a stamp.
ReplyDeleteI hope you see one this year.
