This great envelope from Katerina took a very long time to get here due to the pandemic. For a while the Greek post office was not accepting any items to send to the USA (although I could send to Greece). It hasn't been exactly speedy since resuming, either. This colorful envelope was posted in May, and arrived in July.
Finally it arrived with all of its great contents! It was well worth the wait.
Do you have a mail story that happened because of the pandemic?
Hi Phil, sounds like your envelope took the long & winding scenic route. No stories of long trips this time, but my sister in Louisiana mailed a puzzle to me on a Monday and it arrived in Massachusetts on the Wednesday!
ReplyDeleteNow that is speedy!
DeleteI have been writing to someone in Denver and each of our letters (since Feb) have been taking exactly one month! So, our monthly exchanges have now become bi-monthly as we await replies.
ReplyDeleteThe coronavirus has impacted time in so many ways, and the mail has not gone unaffected.
DeleteQuelle belle lettre pleine de petits trésors :)
ReplyDeleteSo nice to see something from katerina after all this time.
DeleteTwo months is the new normal! :)
ReplyDeleteFrom Greece, definitely.
DeleteAlso from here, I'm afraid :|
DeleteSome have been taking only 1 month - the mail entropy continues!
