For today's theme, I am sharing a single stamp from France thanks to Fafa.
The church, Église Saint-Pierre (St Peter's church) in Riga, Latvia with snow. Construction began in 1209, and you can access the Wikipedia page for more information: https://en.m.wikipedia.org/wiki/St._Peter%27s_Church,_Riga

That would be a fantastic visit!
ReplyDeleteAgreed, I think the Baltic states would be fascinating to visit.
DeleteI've just been to Estonia :)
DeleteWow!
DeleteI meant I was there some years ago. "Just" because it is the only Baltic country I have visited.
DeleteAh, the ambiguities of the English language!
DeleteThe snow is a nice touch. I really like the angle; like a teaser to see more!
ReplyDeleteA lot of images of this church online have a similar angle - I wonder if there is another building in the way that makes it hard to capture the spire from a different position?
DeleteIts snowy crowning glory. The phrase 'raising from the ashes' certainly applies to this steeple.
ReplyDeleteThe snow makes me think of Christmas
DeleteI agree with all: the snow makes it so original.
ReplyDeleteThe snow does make it special, doesn't it.
DeleteA church from Riga on a French stamp? Interesting.
ReplyDeleteI thought that, too, and do not know what the connection is.
DeleteChaque année la poste Française émet un bloc sur les capitales Européennes , cette année c'est Bratislava :)
ReplyDeleteThanks for the information!
