I went with peace. Well, in another 'rules'-breaker, the stamp I chose represents more of a peaceful association between countries, than peace itself I think. A Greek stamp celebrating Russo-Greek cultural relations.
I am, sadly, poorly informed about Russia-Greece relations, although I *think* they have had strong ties that go back a long way. I remember being in Greece 20 years ago and being transported on a Russian-made hydrofoil. Not something that I was expecting.
Now there's an unexpected relationship.

DeleteAlough Greece is part of the Balkans all always forget it. A nicely designed stamp.
ReplyDeleteI agree - a clever way to combine the flag colors of the two countries.
DeleteI'm glad you chose a peace stamp. And for Russia to have peaceful relations with any country is a good thing.
ReplyDeletePeace is always good.
DeleteI like this design. The theme, and also to see two alphabets on a stamp.
ReplyDeleteAnd there's a third alphabet if you include 'Hellas'.
DeleteOh, right!
