London mail

Eric was on vacation in London, and improvised this mail art from a tourist street map and some puffy stickers, which all traveled really well. Loving the LHR sticker addition and the fantastic postage sticker featuring the post office railway system that operated under the city from 1927-2003.

I should have a category for 'hotel-made envelopes' :)

Inkblot Mondays part 8

It's time for another inkblot. This one is from Veebee.

What do you see in the inkblot? And the underlying photo is Mr Rorschach himself - does he remind you of anyone?

I'll be back in a week to share my thoughts.

Here is what I thought about last week's inkblot.

Collaboration with Carroll, June edition

Here's what Carroll sent me. I love the wings she added to the birdblot.

Here's the clever envelope and stamp combo she sent it in.

Here's what I added.

And here's the envelope I sent it back in.

In from stripygoose

Birds from Sue

In a nice envelope as always. I was entertained that not only did the real postage get the biro treatment, but the artistamp did as well!

Badger mail

A very nice surprise arrived from Heleen. An envelope with a badger, the other half of the wonderful Let children learn stamps, and a very clever way of writing FinnBadger. The first half of the stamp set is here.

And a badger inside, too. None other than Tommy Brock, one of Beatrix Potter's characters.

And a fun 'stamp' on the back of the postcard.

Elegant circles and fascinating stamps from Rachael, with a great card inside.

Clever day at the races envelope from Tina

With only the tiny clue of the 'from' zip code, this colorful one is from Amy. Thanks for the seeds!

and a bonus one from Hester, with a fun banana-related story and nice liner.

Snow for Sunday Stamps

This week's theme for Sunday Stamps is weather... this stamp is not specific to weather, but does show some snow.

A wintry Lowenberg Castle that arrived as part of Big Mail Monday...

This last stamp came on an envelope from Michael, containing a piece of his art and announcing his mail art call for dust bunnies!

To Finland

A photo in a magazine made up of triangles gave me an idea for something to send to Carina.

Here's another view (there was more inside) and the envelope it was sent in.

A-Z challenge reflections post

Actually, this is not really a reflections post, I feel that this is more like a rewards post, with me being the recipient!

Plus I didn't realize that a reflections post was a part of the A-Z challenge

Helen surprised me by sending me this fantastic envelope and card to congratulate me on finishing, and share a few of her thoughts on how much she enjoyed my blog during the A to Z challenge in April.

One thing that Heleen wrote that I agree with is that she was surprised Eva and I did not have the same word, or even the same mail during the whole month. Which is pretty surprising as we occasionally show the same thing on the same day.

And Eva sent me some of her reflections in this wonderful envelope made from a Desigual bag. This store name seemed familiar to me, but not because I shop there - the nearest one is in NYC.

As luck would have it, 614 Magazine, from which many of my envelopes are created, had this as their April cover.

It made perfect envelopes to reply to Eva and Heleen. Thanks so much to both of you for your mail and blog friendship, I really appreciate it.

The ides of postcards

A postcard of Rome St Peter's from Eva sent from an unexpected place - Vatican City.

A Dutch castle from Heleen

Helen's card arrived on 'Big Mail Monday' - one of the biggest batches of mail I've received on one day in a long time. Make sure to see Heleen's personalized stamp - very cool. They'll all be blogged eventually, in the meantime, here's the group photo:

And another postcard from Eva, showing a beautiful ancient mosaic, and taking its time to arrive from Italy in exactly a month. By comparison, the card from the Vatican took a week to get here.
