The envelope is made from a paper bag from the now defunct grocery chain, Mammouth. Eric says the bags are somewhat of a collectors item now.
And he matched the stamps perfectly. They come from a 2008 set of Prehistoric Mammals.
For more stamps beginning with M, head over to Sunday Stamps.
The mammoth stamp is exceptional and a pleasure to see.
ReplyDeleteI love the stamp, and the bag.
DeleteColuche un humoriste français disait"Mammouth écrase les prix et Mamy écrase les prouts " .L'envoi d’Eric est vraiment bien et les timbres bien assortis !
ReplyDeleteA very funny quote!
DeleteBeautiful Mammouth envelope and Mammouth stamp, and how coincidental that the Megaloceros stamp matches with this Sunday's theme, too!
ReplyDeleteI didn't even notice that the other stamp began with M - thanks for being so observant.
DeleteI can see why this would be a collectors item!
ReplyDeleteI was watching a show on finding the wooly mammoth just this weekend.
They were pretty amazing creatures.
DeleteI remember the Mammouth stores, I always used to enjoy the sign when visiting France, no wonder they are collectors items now. Who does not love a woolly mammoth. Those are a fine pair of horns on the elk, a great pair of stamps.
ReplyDeleteA perfect piece of mail art.
DeleteYes, Eric did a great job here.
