V is for Venus

The stamp for Venus, issued as one of the eight 'Views of Our Planets' stamps in 2016, on envelope 805. The stamps are striking, so can be tough to find matching envelopes. This one is made from a calendar of watercolors.

      Thanks - it was an unusual envelope, so it took me a while to connect it with a stamp.

    Venus I think a great contribution to today's theme!
    (and it reminds me of both the Roman goddess and the same-named song).

    The stamp sheet is wonderful. Funny that in real the sizes of the planets vary so much :-)

      I like the way they showed the planets on the sheet. If they were shown at comparable sizes mercury would be a dot :)
