A couple of critically endangered animal stamps from Australia. The Western Swamp Tortoise is native to Australia, the Western Lowland Gorilla to central Africa.
awww, that tortoise is cute - I'm a sucker for turtles :) interesting that they hibernate during the summer, whereas my turtle is just thinking about coming out of hibernation from his winter rest.

Beautiful stamps - love this turtle, too!
ReplyDeleteFascinating turtle I never would have thought there was something in Australia dependent on rain.
ReplyDeleteI'd love to see more stamps like these, especially containing the CRITICALLY ENDANGERED message.
ReplyDeleteEndangered animals is a common theme, and usually it turned into beautiful stamps like these.
