R is for Round

I have been exchanging mail and mail art with Eva for quite a while now, and for the first time I received this round Moroccan stamp.

It celebrates the Week of Solidarity, and is a definitive stamp of sorts in that it is frequently re-issued. It arrived on this lovely stylized postcard, which has its own round yellow sun. the colors look much better in person.

Q is for Quartz

Another mineral for this A-Z, quartz on a Moroccan stamp sent just in the last few weeks (and saving me from going with Q is for Queen ;) .

Don't be fooled, this stamp is tiny (slightly smaller than a Royal Mail Machin definitive). It was issued last year in a set of 10 'Roches du Maroc'. I couldn't find a nice image of the set unfortunately.

Sent on this lovely postcard from Eva.

P is for Pixel Art and (maybe) former Princes.

Although, at the time of this video game release, it wasn't really referred to that way.

These amazing stamps were issued in 2017 to celebrate the 30th anniversary of the Spanish video game La Abadía del Crimen (The Abbey of Crime), itself based on Umberto Eco's book The Name of the Rose, which was also made into one of my favorite films starring Sean Connery.

Eva sent the stamps on a great envelope - I noticed right away what the drawing was from - but as a bonus to today's Sunday Stamps guests I thought I'd see if you can guess what it is. There are also some definitive Spanish stamps featuring two kings, who, I presume, were once upon a time Princes.
