Envelope 211 - Living Room

The F&F postcards are really supposed to be sent through the mail naked, however as I have a lot of envelopes at hand, and Jan's faux stamp is made from thick, stiff card, I decided to send it to Sandra in this envelope. The scans really do not do this one justice - my apologies.

The clean lines made me think of the industrial design stamps - I don't have many of these left and they are no longer for sale, so it is hard to see them go one by one.

Address in grey.

And the back.

How could you not like an envelope with Weird Al on it?

Not to mention bonus weird person in the flap

Vintage Jean

Jean was in desk-clearing mode when she sent this.

I like the vintage stamps and the vertical address.

29 faces in september part VII: envelopes 150, 120 & 246

19/29: #150 to honi c

Honi C sends me bonus mail every once in a while. The odd scanner effect adds to the mystery of this image (for a change).

Johnny on the brain.

20/29: #120 to Lettres et Images

This is the youngest of the original set (it's still over 20 years old)

I like the global + Lincoln combo for the vertical address.

I forgot to scan this one with the flap up.

Improving the composition to a grouping of three, and using purple for the address.

Fab packet from Pamela

Over at MMSA, Pamela had admired the black and white flower faux postage, so I sent her a set.

She sent me this great collection of goodies.

The envelope.

The card inside.

And inside an envelope inside the card... a minizine, a mail art business card, another envelope with 3 fantastic artistamps.  Thank you!

29 faces in september part VI: envelopes 381, 359 &198

16/29: # 381 to Currie

There were several candidate stamps for this one, however I really liked the circus stamp. I've had a hard time using them as they tend to be quite dominant on an envelope (plus the large ones are extra large).

If only I had one of the Star Wars stamps for this one. I do like the smile on Gwendolyn Brook's face on this stamp.

18/29: #198 for Rose

Sometimes the scanner doesn't do so well with white edges.

The first appearance of Miles Davis on the blog, I think.
