The stamp was issued in 2018 as part of a fascinating min-sheet by Correos that took a snapshot of events in the 1990s.
Thanks to Eva for sending me this stamp on this very nice postcard. It certainly reflects how I like to explore a new place. Plus I have wandered through almost the whole alphabet again for Sunday Stamps, where you can find more eXciting links to eXplore.
Très beau mini feuillet de timbres ! Et la carte est jolie !
ReplyDeleteI love the postcard, and the stamps on the sheet are fascinating, but see Eva's comment below :)
DeleteI like the 90's set (except the stamp about Russia, that is incredibly difficult to detach!). I'm not so happy with the rest of the series. Let's wait for the 2000-2010 stamps!
ReplyDeleteI think I would have to get a scalpel blade to detach that one. They should really have been printed as self-adhesive stamps that you can remove easily. Are there any self-adhesive stamps in Spain?
DeleteMost of them are self-adhesive stamps, actually. The ones that aren't (and I've been sending to you lately) are more difficult to get!
DeleteThese are self-adhesive, and this one, for instance.
Thanks for the info - and for plugging my own blog :)
ReplyDeleteI think all the current stamps from USPS are self-adhesive. Many stamp collectors hate them because they are hard to remove from paper.
DeleteSpain does have some interesting artistic stamps. And the postcard is lovely :)
ReplyDeleteA perfect combination, and luckily for me, perfect for X today.
DeleteI'm going looking for Expo stamps now. Great illustration withe the owl and animals especially the fox.
ReplyDeleteYou'll be prepared fro the next X. And yes, this card is great - I am a big fan of the fox, too.
DeleteSuch a nice card and stamp! I coincidentally visited the 1992 Expo in Sevilla (happened to be traveling in the south of Spain during that summer), the only Expo I've ever visited. Nice to see this stamp, makes me realize how time flies: now it is 27 years later :-)
ReplyDeleteMe too, I visited that Expo, with my parents and my sister :)
DeleteThat is amazing that you both visited the same Expo that year - I assume before you were mail friends.
ReplyDeleteAnd I always think of events in the 90s as have happened 10-19 years ago, then feel really old when it turns out it is now 20-29 years ago!!!
I think I had only one penpal at 16 :D

ReplyDeleteA very cheery mini sheet. I've never been to an Expo of any type, I feel I'm missing out although I can still enjoy them through stamps. Love the woodland card..
ReplyDeleteI haven't been to one either, so you aren't alone!
