Paper Source & USPS in Cahoots over Colors?
The colorful celebrations stamps seem to match perfectly with a recent Paper Source catalogue.
An envelope and collage to Kathie

Another moon misadventure
I had sent this envelope to Richard in France back in May, shown on the blog here.
So I was more than a bit surprised to see it back in my mailbox a week ago looking like this:
Particularly when I had included a very clear address on the back:
And removing one of the nixie labels revealed that this poor envelope has had a real struggle to be returned - the first label applied in June, and the second in August!

If you're interested, today's full moon is known as the Sturgeon Moon, as this is the time of year when these fish are easiest to catch in the Great Lakes area.

Ides of Postcards
A print of an acrylic, with added wash tape, from Honi C.
A great card from Eric with the weather in London on a recent trip.
More words from Amalgamated confusion.
Envelope 1000
Not really (although I'm getting close - currently on homemade envelope 824), however this *is* blog post 1000.
I'm amazed the blog has made it to this point.
A family member found some of the original envelopes that I sent out back in 1992/1993, so here they are.
The one with comedienne Jo Brand and the plumber's crack made me laugh. I can honestly say I have no memory of any of them.

It has been a while since I looked at the top 5 most viewed blog posts, so here they are, with a new entry for Heleen's fabulous Fin(n)Badger:
1 (1) Edelweiss post (2016)
2 (2) St Valentine's Day (2015)*
3 (3) Exchange 11 - Mr Charles resplendent (2014)*
4 (5) Sunday Stamps - Boats and Ships (2015)
5 (-) Fin(n)Badger (2016)
* indicates a former number one post.
And since it is a special occasion, here are the next 5 most popular posts to round out the top ten.
8. Sunday Stamps - Water Birds (2016)
9. Top 5 (2014)
10. Mail art from France - with bonus stamps (2014)
There are also two former number one blogposts no longer in the top 10...
Envelope 100 (2013)
Envelope 81 (2013)
Plus, July 2016 was the most visited month on the blog ever, so thanks to everyone who sends me mail, and/or comments on the blog, it is all appreciated!!

Two from Eva
Two great homemade envelopes from Eva. One showing apples, the other showing.... creatures!
If you think the stamp showing the King of Spain looks odd it is because it has a foil background, which shows different aspects as the light of the scanner goes by it. Heleen showed one which scanned/photographed a little bit differently.

Sunday Stamps, Lakes and Rivers
I don't really think of water when I think of Morocco. These interesting stamps, two of a series of five issued in 2015, arrived on an envelope from Eva. Lake Sidi Bourghaba is a national park, famed for its biodiversity. Link to wikipedia article (in French only).
Aguemam Azegza is also part of a national park in Morocco. Link (in French).
For links to bodies of water on stamps, go to Sunday Stamps.

Chevrons and collage to Chris
The printing of the chevron envelopes was not exactly flawless, so I had some that needed a bit of a cover up to be sent.
Including one of a series of collages I made recently, using part of a chemigram strip William sent me.
