Here's the full sheet of artistamps. This is an (unexpected) collaboration with stripygoose. She turned my ink blots into birds, and I turned her bird blots into stamps.
I usually find add and pass stressful, however after my one on one add and pass back with Keith worked so well, I think that is more my speed.
Do you like art collaborations?
If you were to receive an add and pass, how would you feel?
Hi Phillip - they are fun to see ... but being of the non-artistic bent ... mine would be awful - I'll stick with what I can do ... interesting collaboration though .. cheers Hilary

The thing is, here all I've added is some rubber stamped letters, and some inkblots - anyone can do those!
DeleteThose two blobs by the moon are starting to look like something...
ReplyDeleteLooking forward to seeing it back in my mail box.
DeleteI habe received only once a add and pass and I was very nervous about it. It was years ago. With more experience now I think I would feel more relaxed. I really think collaboration is great.
ReplyDeleteI like collaborations that happen naturally, without being forced.
DeleteI must say that "add and pass" (or "add and return") also stresses me a bit. It seems that good ideas never quick quickly to my mind! With your Morrow poem happened that, but the result wasn't that bad eventually.
ReplyDeleteI attended yesterday an exhibition of an illustrator of children's books. There were an activity: trying to discover characters in paint blots. It was intended for kids, but of course I participated as well :D I love your artistamps!
Your result was great! And did you take pictures of your paint blot characters?
DeleteAlas, not. But maybe I still can take them...I'll let you know.
Deleteis it a dancing ostrich? i love it!
ReplyDeleteIt's a bird blot, so it can be anything you want it to be. I like your description of a dancing ostrich.
DeleteAdd and pass would make me nervous. I enjoy seeing what others come up with. Maybe sometime I will get brave enough to collaborate with others.
ReplyDeleteI definitely just go at my own pace now, and don't stress about them.
DeleteLove this so much! I think this would be so much fun! I love art, and add and pass sounds like an awesome adventure!
ReplyDeleteIt can be a ton of fun. You should find an arty buddy and give it a try.
DeleteIve never done art collaboration but have done alot "on the fly" art.
ReplyDeleteI love on the spot writing collaborations.
Love what you both did.
@Moondustwriter Sharing A Piece of Uganda
I think I would have a harder time with writing collaboration.
DeleteI'm doing a collab now with my illustrator friend!
ReplyDeleteI'm writing flash fiction at my site whilst she's adding illustrations at Anna
Oops, I meant at hers: http://ind.elvenstar.net/
DeleteSounds like the best of both worlds - one to write, and one to draw.
DeleteThis art collaboration looks so cool. In classical music, musicians sometimes do a jugalbandi, which is a duet of sorts. One musician plays a solo (on say tabla) and then the other will follow with his own instrument (say a sitar). Your collaboration looks like an art jugalbandi.
ReplyDeleteWhat a great word! And Carroll has sent back her response and it is very very cool - it will be on the blog eventually, once I decide what to add.
