Sunday Stamps - places of worship

I had to look hard for a stamp for today - finally found this vintage one I received from Finland.

It is a picture of Lammi Church in Lammi, Finland built in the early 1500s. It was issued in 1956 with a value of 30, this version is from 1957.

  3. I bet the stonework of this church is a sight to behold in real life.

    1. I am sure it is. Fascinating to think the stones have stood for so many generations.

    1. Here, too. My home is considered old - and it was built in the 1890s.

    1. I think there are not so many places of worship on American stamps, where most of my mail comes from.

  6. Beautiful church, I always love Finland's steep sloping roofs.
