A is for Australian Animals

For the next 26 weeks Sunday Stamps has an A to Z theme.

Australian animals are so fascinating.

Here are two on these colorful stamps - the Laughing Kookaburra and the Tasmanian Devil.

  1. Great choice! I love Australian animals - the Kookaburra belonging to my favourite birds since ages - and these two stamps are new to me!

    1. Thanks. I didn't know what a Tasmanian Devil looked like until I saw this stamp - the cartoon version is really not the same at all.

  3. Australia has a whole series of stamps for its birds and animals including your two stamps. I'm still looking for the platypus.

    1. I don't get much mail from Australia, so it was great to receive these two. I have received the platypus in the past.

  4. Laughing kookaburra, always good on a film soundtrack, the owl is the only other bird I can think of that is used so extensively. I always love Australia's diverse animal stamps.

  5. Australia has the cutest animals.
Also the most deadly, but we'll concentrate on the cute ones.

    1. I'm not sure how cute a Tasmanian Devil is... looks like it could have sharp teeth and a bad attitude :)
