Sunday Stamps - Flowers

USPS issued a set of 10 stamps earlier this year based on illustrations from gardening catalogs originally used between 1891 and 1910.

Here are some sent out on envelopes 789, 791, 796 & 809.

I showed a few more of these stamps in a previous post.

And here are two that I received in Jean's April exchange.

Pretty flowers from Amy.

Watercolor and calligraphy from Thomas.

And Thomas included this neat wax seal that traveled perfectly (amazingly) through the mail.

To see more flowers, head over to Sunday Stamps.

  1. Neat stamps!
They are almost invisible on the envelopes, though.

    1. I was surprised how well the colors on the stamps matched the calendar page envelopes.

I added the original set of stamps so you can appreciate them better.

    2. Thanks!
I'va actually received some of these, and the colours are wonderful, in my opinion. I didn't write anything about the envelopes, but I like them too.

  3. What a coincidence, my birthday card has arrived early with nine of these stamps on it - had to go to UPS site to find out when they were issued.

    1. Just wait until the large number of issues coming at the end of the month and beginning of June to coincide with the World Stamp Show.
