S is also for Series

This is the second S post after yesterday's Solar System. 

As promised, here is the follow up from letter N for naked mail art. Most of my mail art goes inside one of my homemade envelopes. And usually they are individual pieces. 

Although I rarely collage, I recently sent out a series of 6 collaged postcards with a vehicular theme.

He very kindly sent it on to me, in this fun envelope.

Sunday Stamps - Flowers

USPS issued a set of 10 stamps earlier this year based on illustrations from gardening catalogs originally used between 1891 and 1910. 

Here are some sent out on envelopes 789, 791, 796 & 809.

I showed a few more of these stamps in a previous post.

And here are two that I received in Jean's April exchange.

And Thomas included this neat wax seal that traveled perfectly (amazingly) through the mail.

January exchange - snowflakes sent out

I made a set of snowflake envelopes and used up almost all of my geometric snowflake stamps on them.

These are envelopes 619 through 626. Five for the swap, and three bonus envelopes to Jean, Jan and Bridget.

Rorschach results

Remember Kathie's inkblot from last week?

Well, here are the results.

I thought it looked like a rabbit.

Kathie saw a dragon.

Update:

In an email from Kathie... "My sister and I are severely computer challenged.  We couldn't figure out how to enter "comments".  Here are her thoughts.....1..dragon reclining in a sultry pose  2.woman's face and dragon eye is a decoration in her hair.  One of my grandchildren thinks it looks like a seahorse."

For some reason, even though Hester, Kathie and Kathie's sister see a dragon, I *still* don't see it :)

And how about Thomas' card?

I see a person whispering in the ear - I guess the antenna, really - of a giant fly.

Usually it is the scanner that like to make its own art. This time the printer got in on the action. So far this is its only work. I sent a portion to De Villo Sloan.

Another piece sent to Thomas.

Thomas took a piece of this, altered it, and sent it back. Looks like it might have been torn on the way to Thomas.

He also altered one of my faux stamps on the other side.
