This great internationaal stamp from Nederland arrived, courtesy of Heleen, accompanied with nice selvage to celebrate jaar van die slang. Included are the Chinese characters for snake.
In contrast, the postcard is all in English, the language of Postcrossing.

Nice! I haven't seen this in person yet.
ReplyDeleteBy the way, there is at least a non-English word in the postcard, too :D
So there is, well done spotting that
DeleteI like that the surrounding selvage is included. Nice shade of red.
ReplyDeleteIt was great that Heleen included that
DeleteAlways a treat when a selvage is still attached and of course a perfectly placed cancel.
ReplyDeleteYour comment made me take a closer look at the cancel - itmissed the stamp!
DeleteWhat a great stamp from Nederland: so different!
ReplyDeleteI like the simple graphic design
DeleteI got a similar postcard (Postcrossing) from Canada! It also has "happy postcrossing" but the theme was Valentine's Day. Where yours has par avion mine looks like a US priority mail sticker. So much so I wondered if the postal workers were confused!
ReplyDeleteI feel pretty sure they don't look at anything except the address
DeleteSo many things on that stamp make one think of a snake!
ReplyDeleteThe numbers in 2025 definitely have a snaky appearance
DeleteVery cool Happy Mail
ReplyDeleteHeleen sends me such nice mail from the Netherlands!
