D is for Deporte para todos

Deporte para todos translates to sport for everyone. These two stamps, issued by Correos in 2013, feature amateur running events and bicycle touring. Eva sent them some time ago. I like the small detail of a foot and a wheel on the white border of the stamps.

  2. A cycle through the countryside would be my pick, the cycle path looks inviting.

    1. It does, doesn't it? It reminded me of a school trip to Amsterdam where they decided we all needed to go somewhere on bikes. They found the oldest, heaviest bikes for us to ride - the kind where you have to pedal backwards to brake, which is not intuitive if you're not used to it. At one point I grabbed a lamppost to stop myself. It didn't end well 😄

    1. I'm happy watching the runners on the stamp, and from my house as it's on the route of a marathon and a couple of shorter races every year.

    1. Not as cool as your 'dinosaur' leaving the stamp 😎

  5. I'm not much of a sports-person, however a casual bike ride in the country would be nice.

    1. 😎 I thought we had managed to avoid the snow, now there's 1 to 2 inches on the ground. I know this is not even close to what you're getting.
