Aerial views on Sunday Stamps

Perhaps the ultimate aerial view of the earth on the first US international stamp to bear the non-denominational designation, 'Global Forever', issued in 2013, and replacing previous air mail stamps issued with a small plane symbol.

Used on this 'envelope' made from panels of a kleenex box and sent to Eric.

And if the camera turned around, you'd have an aerial view of the moon, issued as a Global stamp in 2016. Tonight is supposed to be a giant full moon, so I hope it is clear this evening. If not, I'll just have to make do with this envelope I sent to Eva, made from a calendar page.

Hopefully I didn't break the rules too much this week. For more aerial views on postage, head over to the links at Sunday Stamps.

HLPN

Recently I have been sent a lot of ephemera included as mail art. Some pieces could stand on their own, others have been proclaimed as 'use it or trash it' by their senders. Some have arrived with no message.

I used pieces from four different senders to make the following collage:

Cut into four postcard sized bits. the tissue paper was thin and gauzy (and a nightmare to glue down) so i decided not to risk sending them naked.

The recipients were:

29 faces in september part IV: envelopes 213, 193 & 251

10/29: #213 to Cara

I thought Cara would like this crazy self-styled super hero.

And I just happened to have some of the super hero stamps.

The scanner took this crazy image, which I really like - it may have to make its way onto a postcard.

Farewell, super person.

I told you there'd be a lot of Johnny Cash. And another hand written address, this time in silver. Stop the madness.

Bon voyage.
