Eric Mondays part 30 - collage

I sent four collaged cards out that were related. See if you can spot which one was sent to Eric.

20th century inventions for Sunday Stamps

Pick up trucks, born in 1931. This stamp shows the 1938 International Harvester D-2.

The electric guitar, courtesy of Jimi Hendrix's stamp. Weirdly, as far as I can find, the first one was designed in 1931.

And Batman, first appearing in comics in 1939.

The day after the scariest day of the year...

...a Halloween card from Adrienne that didn't quite arrive in time for Halloween.

With some more of the wonderful Haunted Canada stamps.

The scariest day of the year...

Yes, even scarier than Halloween, it's the day after Thanksgiving in the US, a day when the whole country takes on characteristics of a zombie apocalypse.

So in honor of the day, here's a scary Halloween bonus envelope that went out to Rachael.

Orange is a difficult color...

... but Eric made it work! Look at these fantastic anime stamps... I also like the vintage Marianne stamps where she seems to be blossoming like a flower.

And even more fun, it is made from a French department store paper bag.

If you're in the US - Happy Thanksgiving!

Toni's Tiny Banana Mail

Toni said she fought with the post office clerk to get this one mailed.

I think it technically is smaller than the limits allowed by the post office - it measures 4.25 x 3.75 in (11 x 9.5 cm).

My understanding is that it probably should have been mailed as a package (somewhere in the region of $3.50), but Toni managed to persuade the person that it was just non-machinable (+21c) instead.

Brava!

Dean's Banana Hammer

What a crazy 3D piece of mail art from Dean for Banana Day. I am very impressed this piece made it intact.

Eric Mondays part 28 - another moon

This moon fifty is a bit out of sequence from when I sent it to Eric.

November's full moon is known as the Beaver Moon in native American culture - the time to set traps for these animals before the swamps froze. It is also called the frosty, snow and tree moon in other cultures.

Ides of postcards

A wonderful play on light and shadow on this postcard from Eva.

And from Eric a very white, over-the-top outfit on HM.

Sunday Stamps - war and peace

I went with peace. Well, in another 'rules'-breaker, the stamp I chose represents more of a peaceful association between countries, than peace itself I think.

A Greek stamp celebrating Russo-Greek cultural relations.

Wipe 100

Wipe turned 100 recently. In a special edition, the writing on the front was done in gold (which doesn't scan too well).

Here are some selected pages.

Cotton and collage

I have to confess that I have kept a poor record of who I sent this collage and envelope 255 to.

Byrds / Wyngs

A themed art book sent to stripygoose as a big thank you for all the great art she's sent me recently.
