Envelopes 429, 442 and 477 - Bon appétit!

Three envelopes that ended up stamped with celebrity chefs.

#429 - Spanish pizza!

Latin chef.

To Karen.

#442 - burger time!

The hair on the model (and the food) made me think of the Joyce Chen celebrity chef stamp.

Sent to Beth - maybe another time I can move away from the topic of food and drink?

#477 - a very fancy bird.

Sadly the whole creature didn't fit on the front. Looking at it in a headless state, I thought of Jean and her love of birds on heads. So this one ended up with a head on a bird.

Beak and claw on the back.

We interrupt your viewing... to bring you bonus postcards

Lynn received one of my '3D' postcards in the MMSA favorite city swap, and sent me this great bonus card to thank me.

Nancylee recently visited New York for the first time and loved it.

Beth (who I sent martini mail to) sent this as a thank you.

And I was making dragons for an mmsa swap, and they made me think of Jan H's dragon envelope, so i sent her one. I like this guy, he looks like he's zipping along on important dragon business.

I even addressed it with wrought iron writing in gold on an orange background - the scan looks a bit garish; it was easier to read in reality.

Envelope 462 - Happy Mail. And bonus stats.

Over at MMSA, Beth A asked for contributions for a mail art/happy mail workshop she had planned for mid-October.

Here's another envelope from an old calendar. The original caption read, "I'm doing my part to go green. I've had three apple martinis today."

Stamped.

And addressed.

October became the most visited month to date - by just 40 views. Cathy's envelope continues as the number one post. This is the first top 5 to not feature a post from 2013.
