I hope the snow is over for 2019, but you never know. I sent these 2013 gingerbread house stamps to Eva earlier in the year. They were the secular holiday stamps that year.
This is a bit of an aside for my blog, but I saw these cards on sale in Target and sure enough, the envelopes go really well with the gingerbread house stamps. The red cards have Thank you written on them, the blue cards have nothing. I liked this design a lot, so snapped them up.
The envelopes also work well with the 2012 Santa Claus + reindeer stamps (it's after Christmas, so I used the one stamp that doesn't have any of the above on it - just a nice snowy village).
Stay warm if you're experiencing the winter storm!
Jean W has had many creative ideas for using the Gingerbread Houses stamps. I like her Gingerbread House 'font' very creative! This one contained a thank you from Jean for my taking part in the envelope exchange.
As part of Jean's envelope exchange I sent everyone on the list one of my home made envelopes except Cathy. No real reason other than I had an idea for something that would work with the gingerbread house stamps, and I'd already sent all of my Christmas mail. (I'll have to remember this one for next year). The stamp and dark blue 'sky' matched better in real life than they do on the scan (at least I think they did). Hopefully this one didn't suffer any delivery issues.
A bit mysterious, particularly with the extra 's' added to my first name. Opened up it revealed this:
Which, when opened up, contained these:
Thanks, Jean. Now you can see that your own mail also gets special treatment by the post office - they even paid for the postage after their barcoding system incorrectly marked the envelope!
