Sunday Stamps - Bananas!

There are lots of banana days in the mad as a hatter mail art world.

I didn't take part for banana lovers day (27 August), however Toni and Katerina sent me some fun things, so I sent them back two banana 'boats' using the ice cream sundae stamps, complete with split bananas and topped with cherries. These large stamps are from the Soda Fountain Favorites set issued earlier this year.

For more fruit (and nuts) on postage, head over to Sunday Stamps.

  1. It's an original approach... In Spain, the banana boat used to be called banana split.

  2. I haven't had a banana split for years so a nice reminder of a treat I always enjoyed as a child.

  3. Same as Joy, I also haven't had a banana split for many many years! Makes me think of going to an ice cream shop very soon to order one!

  4. I received my first sundae stamps just a couple of weeks ago - never thought of using them for this theme! Creative idea with the Chiquita stickers.

  5. Nice stamps but tmo also a double contribution to Sunday Stamps, FinnBadger!
Or, at least a nice wordplay: Sundae Stamps for Sunday Stamps!

To me as a Dutch native, 'sundae' and sunday' sound exactly the same. Maybe native English speakers hear the difference?!?

    1. What a missed opportunity for a fun play on the blog title! And of course, a non-native English speaker pointing it out!

By the way, sundae and Sunday do sound exactly the same in English.
