Winter friends

Eva sent this wonderful Christmas card.

Accompanied by a stamp with gold foil writing wishing us a merry Christmas in the four official languages of Spain - Spanish, Catalan, Galician and Basque.

  1. Nice to see the card on your tree :D
And you managed to take proper picture of the stamp, which is difficult.

    1. It wasn't so hard to take a picture of the stamp, however it was hard to take it in front of the tree and getting the lighting right.

I also read that Occitan is an official language of Spain? Is that not correct?

  2. You're right. Occitan is an official language in the whole region of Catalonia, although spoken only in a little territory (Val d'Aran). It's known there as Aranese. But the Spanish Government seems not to have it in mind :/

Bon Nadau means 'Happy Christmas' in Aranese.

  3. the stamp is really nice and Merry Christmas to all

    1. It is really beautiful, a pleasant surprise from Correos, as their Christmas stamps are not usually so nice.
