Today's Sunday Stamps theme is waterfalls and rivers.
I think this extreme sport counts. This is Descenso de Barrancos, issued by Correos in 2006, and sent by Eva. Whatever this is (waterfall, river, rapids?), it looks horrendous :)
This stamp is Harrison Wright Falls in Pennsylvania. I'll take fast running water as a spectator sport, please.
It arrived on this lovely February exchange envelope from Maggie M.

I have now published the correct post - thank you!
ReplyDeleteI am with you as for the spectator sport, and I do enjoy to spectate running water. The Harrison Wright - what a name ;) Falls look mesmerizing.
I do love a pretty waterfall
DeleteI hadn't thought of that stamp for today. It belongs to a series of stamps about a TV program: "Al filo de lo imposible" (='On the edge of the impossible'). I think the picture on the stamp was taken on Reunion Island. Impossible for me, indeed!
ReplyDeleteOh, and we have coincided in the other series, but not the same stamps! :)
DeleteI'm impressed we managed to show different stamps from the series
DeleteI will watch from the sidelines too! Thanks for sharing.
ReplyDeleteThat first one gives me anxiety!
DeleteThe image on the second stamp is gorgeous!
ReplyDeleteThe waterfall set is very nice, and the stamps are quite large which is nice
DeleteYes, nice to look at, not to... whatever they are doing. Rock climbing in a waterfall? Oh, I found an explanation! "Canyoning." Caving and climbing combined to areas formerly untouched by humans. Maybe we should let some places remain untouched.
ReplyDeleteThanks for looking that up - sounds even worse!
DeleteWaterfalls on envelopes and running down streets. I hope you're not in the flood zone.
ReplyDeleteNo, not at risk of flooding, just a bit wet in the infinished basement which is normal after four straight days of rain
