She wasn't doing a thing that I could see...

...except standing there leaning on the balcony railing, holding the universe together.

JD Salinger

I sent one of my literary calendar cat envelopes to CJ. I love the clever design of the main image. CJ liked it, too, and you can see how it traveled on her blogpost from last week.

Flower moon

The last in this series of moon mail, sent to Fabienne. Blogged today as it is the full moon known in north America as the flower moon.

Earth's moon in all its glory - and a place humans have been to, and will probably go to again.

Pink Moon

Today's full moon is known as the pink moon in north America. This is moon mail sent to Heleen.

This one of Saturn's moons, Iapetus, which is named after a Titan in Greek mythology.

Heleen's cat...

A great quote on this envelope I made to send to Heleen.

It seems to me to be just as apt for today's world.

Frida Kahlo

Excellent template online free download by Rachel Ignotofsky colored by Eva and turned into an envelope. She cleverly has the King of Spain being painted.

I missed Eva's instructions and opened it the 'wrong' way, however it all worked out fine. Thanks for another great piece of mail.

Worm moon

Here is a piece of moon mail sent to Eva, shown today in honor of the full moon - known as the worm moon in north America.

This is Phobos, one of Mars' moons, and shaped a bit like a potato. Perhaps one day humans will land there.

Snow moon

Here's some moon mail sent to Katerina. Tomorrow is this month's full moon - in north America it is referred to as the snow moon. So far this year we've been almost snow free with no significant snowfall.

This is Europa, one of the moons of Jupiter.

More Randomagus from Eva

Another great envelope made by Eva from an art exhibit catalog featuring the collage work of Randomagus.

The franking machine also made absolutely sure each stamp was postmarked . -and yet managed to not obscure the art.

Thanks so much - I love this one.

An exchange envelope from Janet

This fun envelope from Janet sadly encountered the sharpie, and fortunately the year of the dog stamp escaped harm. The stamp colors are so great for this envelope.

We care

USPS says they care...

But not enough to stop using this way of canceling these lovely vintage stamps on a fun exchange envelope from Faye.

The reason Hester sent chocolate mail art

A long 'postcard' arrived.

And the fantastic reason for it.

I did send a dragon to Eric, so today seems the perfect day to show it.

Typewritten

Fantastic exchange envelope from Lauren. Each letter in the address is stuck on separately - impressive amount of work! And a connection to a post from Eva earlier this month.

And an abstract print inside.

Fantastic envelope from Eva, made from the catalog of an exhibition by collage artist Randomagus.

And the fourth ape inside.

Cow banana

An international cow from the Netherlands on this envelope sent by Inta for an envelope exchange in 2018.

The postcard inside has a fun banana.
