Ghost Gecko

Heleen sent me this very cool gecko, outlined by zentangle elements. She noted on her blog that she spent ages finishing it, trying to grab a few minutes here and there to get home finished.

He came in this fascinating homemade envelope, too.

Envelope 96 - Trams to Theo

One of the original envelopes showed a tram yard - I think this is from an Eastern European city, just not sure which one.

Perfect to send back to Theo.

Target

I continued my collaboration with Keith by adding an unfinished tree to the add and pass page. I guess this is add and pass back, since it is just the two of us. 

Normally I wouldn't enjoy this type of thing, as I usually don't enjoy the feeling of possibly wrecking a piece by adding something that just doesn't work. For some reason this one is going well.

The tree was just a practice exercise - I was reading something about how easy it is to draw a tree, and didn't quite believe the words.



And Keith's envelopes are really cool, and I happened to have this Target Pharmacy paper bag lying around when I was adding the tree so I couldn't resist.

Spontaneous mail

It's always fun to receive something unexpected in the mail. Tiffany found me via IUOMA and sent this outstanding piece inside an outstanding envelope.

Vintage Toys

It is Eric weekend ;)

Eric sent me a great envelope with the perfect stamps  from this year's Europa theme of vintage toys.

He wrote a note on the coolest writing paper - the quills at the top are really stunning.

Jean and Jan's June exchange - incoming

Here are the five envelopes I received for the June exchange.

Some very cool lettering to go with the new postcard rate coastal bird stamps from Cathy. Clever how she did the double L in my name.

This envelope from Eric makes me think of smoggy Victorian London.

Jean sent the cool translucent (looks white here) batman envelope, then followed it up with her flower letters.

And a lovely water color piece added to the envelope by Martha.
