Sunday Stamps, Lakes and Rivers

I don't really think of water when I think of Morocco. These interesting stamps, two of a series of five issued in 2015, arrived on an envelope from Eva. Lake Sidi Bourghaba is a national park, famed for its biodiversity. Link to wikipedia article (in French only).

Aguemam Azegza is also part of a national park in Morocco. Link (in French).

  1. Morocco always conjours up visions of dry places for me. These two stamps show a totally different aspect.

    1. We're I live is everything but dry (even if we haven't had a lot of rain this year).

  2. I will be the third to agree that Morocco and water was not a combination I would have thought of. (with apologies to Eva for my ignorance!)

    1. No need to apologise. i think that's the general opinion, and people get surprised when they discover the diversity of the country.

  4. Love Moroccan stamps! And I have even been to Morocco but don't think of water BUT many people take a ferry from Spain to Morocco so there has to be! I flew.

  5. I suppose it is my own ignorance to think that - because of course without water there can't be people.

  6. Yes heat rather than water does spring to mind although when I think about it the Atlas Mountains must have some influence on the climate. Nice when stamps surprise.
