Farewell to the Year of the Pig

The twelve year Lunar cycle ends tonight, as the Year of the Rat is ushered in.

And this envelope features the last in a series of twelve stamps designed by Kam Mak. I really enjoyed this series, and I am impressed that a single artist was given the task for a multi-year project like this.

K is for Korea

I received mail art from Kim who lives in the Republic of Korea, although in most of the English-speaking world it is referred to as South Korea.

The stamps celebrate the Lunar Year of the Pig. While both are great, the one made up of reflective circles is my favorite. The other has some gold highlights.

Hard to capture in a photo or a scan, so in a first for Sunday Stamps on this blog, I tried for a video.

More pigs!

More pigs have arrived to entertain me!

Another fantastic envelope from Fafa. Love the stamp. You won't be able to appreciate the great texture from the image.

With this great card inside.

A pig from Angie as well.

With more pigs on the front.

Heidi sent a very nice pink and gold envelope with a lunar new year stamp.

And a very clever way to include her name on the back next to the return address.
