The twelve year Lunar cycle ends tonight, as the Year of the Rat is ushered in.
And this envelope features the last in a series of twelve stamps designed by Kam Mak. I really enjoyed this series, and I am impressed that a single artist was given the task for a multi-year project like this.
Me too, I also love this series. I read somewhere that USPS isn't issuing any stamps for the Chinese New Year in 2020. Is that true?ReplyDelete
Check back on the blog tomorrow :)Delete
Actually... I just got the answer on a postcard from the USA!Delete
I rather liked that the USPS went in a different direction for these LNY stamp series.ReplyDelete
I'm not sure if we are continuing with the next series or not, but I hope we (both of our countries) do as I always look forward to them.
I hope they do, the Canadian stamps are always lovely.Delete
Pretty. I like the continuity of one artist, the Isle of Man have done the same in the past.ReplyDelete
Looking at the whole series together is really nice.Delete
Happy New Year!ReplyDelete
And thank you again for that great envelope!
I loved that serie of stamps, and I must confess that it took some time for me to discover the tiny golden animals on these stamps :-) A really fine art design :-)
And I managed to put the stamp on the correct way this time!Delete
I am way behind in this series. Fine stamp artist.ReplyDelete
