Amazing envelope from Fabienne

Fabienne surprised me with this large envelope that was sent with a whole sheet of Year of the Pig stamps.

For some reason it earned itself five IMB strips.

Here it is without the strips so you can enjoy the view.

The other commemorative stamp, almost disguised in the print, features the work of  Léonard Foujita, and artist who rose to fame during the 1910s in Paris. This stamp shows his work Le quai aux fleurs, Notre-Dame (1950).

Thanks for the wonderful stamps and envelope, and the very interesting contents, Fafa.

Y is for Year of the Boar

I received my first Year of the Boar (or Pig) stamp a couple of weeks ago in a fantastic exchange envelope from Kate.

This is the twelfth and final stamp in this series of stamps. I read somewhere that USPS will not be continuing with lunar new year stamps after this year.

Check out more links to Y-themed stamps over at Sunday Stamps.
