Y is for Year of the Boar
I received my first Year of the Boar (or Pig) stamp a couple of weeks ago in a fantastic exchange envelope from Kate.
Check out more links to Y-themed stamps over at Sunday Stamps.
This is the twelfth and final stamp in this series of stamps. I read somewhere that USPS will not be continuing with lunar new year stamps after this year.

Cheers!
Great exchange envelope from Kate R. I love the row of gold dots on the letters - very festive.
And a great little card inside - thanks!

Jack-o'-lanterns
USPS issued their first Halloween stamps ever. I am surprised they haven't cashed in on this very big tradition before - I'll be interested to see if they continue with Halloween issues in the future.
I used them on stamps for Jean's October exchange on homemade envelopes 831 and 832, with a bonus envelope 830 to Eric.
And using some Halloween-themed bottle labels Colleen sent me as an MMSA bonus, I finished the rest of the swap with these:

Orange and yellow on the August exchange envelopes received
Here's my very loose interpretation of the yellow and orange theme for today's Sunday Stamps.
Yellow ice (s)cream cone(s) from Becky on the envelope and the soda fountain favorite stamp.
Orange tiger fur From Lynne, on my favorite of the circus poster stamps.
From Kate, orange and black to go with the Ray Charles stamp.

August exchange envelopes sent
Using some craft paper that a package was wrapped in, I created these envelopes to go with the new patriotic spiral stamps. I had a few extra envelopes, so Hester and Eric received them.

August envelope exchange part 5
To Rehj.
In from Kate R - love how the crown was cancelled but not the stamp. I like the face on the back, too.

July envelope exchange - part 1
From Bridget - great splattered colors from Australia
From Rehj - I love how the letters reflect the penguins on the stamps
From Elizabeth - this starry envelope is a big wow
From Kate - the perfect accompaniment to the Maya Angelou stamp.
Thanks, everyone, for another great exchange.

Insects part 1
I had picked up a couple of cheap calendars in February for potential envelope making. This set is from a Christopher Morley calendar, and I splurged on the Insects and Spiders stamps to match. The back of the envelopes also turned out well, so I scanned those too.
To Florence
To Kate
To Jan
To Carroll
To Jack
And one to Eric, where I did something a little different in order to accommodate the four stamps needed for international mail.
