Alice Délice

A great bright envelope and equally bright stamps arrived from Eric made from a bag from the cooking store Alice Délice. I love how the envelope ended up looking somewhat abstract.

The final Eric Monday - part 42 - to the moon and back! Now with added frogs!!

The final 50 that I sent to Eric was a special postmark celebrating 50 years since the Apollo mission. I wanted to send Eric the rest of the planets of the solar system.

From his blog:

And Eric sent a very nice thank you, with a personal postage stamp featuring 50 frogs.

Aerial views on Sunday Stamps

Perhaps the ultimate aerial view of the earth on the first US international stamp to bear the non-denominational designation, 'Global Forever', issued in 2013, and replacing previous air mail stamps issued with a small plane symbol.

Used on this 'envelope' made from panels of a kleenex box and sent to Eric.

And if the camera turned around, you'd have an aerial view of the moon, issued as a Global stamp in 2016. Tonight is supposed to be a giant full moon, so I hope it is clear this evening. If not, I'll just have to make do with this envelope I sent to Eva, made from a calendar page.

Hopefully I didn't break the rules too much this week. For more aerial views on postage, head over to the links at Sunday Stamps.

Color from Eric

Eric sent me this envelope based on a single theme word: 'Borders'.

I love the colors, and the fun zigzag.

Meow!

Eric matched the cats' fur color on the stamps perfectly to the grey of this paper bag envelope.

Mail Me Some Art - Found Poetry

I decided to guest host an MMSA exchange with the theme of Found Poetry.

I didn't participate in the exchange myself, however I was fortunate enough to receive bonus cards from Susan

and from Laurie.

Both arrived on 'Big Mail Monday'. In these great painted and rubber-stamped envelopes.

The added bonus of hosting one of these swaps is the wonderful selection of envelopes swappers send their postcards in. It was also great to see several first-time swappers, including Rachael who takes part in Jean's envelope exchanges.

From Lynn:

The idea of MMSA is to send postcards through he mail, however Andrea's were sent to her in this envelope with a few added artistamps.

Two cool cats

A cat by Charley Harper, and the coolest of cats, Ray Charles, on a calendar page envelope sent to Fabienne.
