26 days from Texas

This nicely written envelope from Holly took an unexpected 26 days to travel from Texas to Ohio. The writing is bright orange, which, if you're a regular reader of the blog, you know the scanner hates neon.

Here's a photo to compare.

And the perfect card inside, matching the cardinals that camp out in the backyard.

    1. The cardinal is the official bird of several states including Ohio. The stamp is from the Christmas Carols set, issued in 2017.

    1. A pair always nests in our back yard every year. They are the arch-enemies of the cats.

  3. Indeed scanners don't know what tondo with neon colours, amazing that cameras still do detect neon colours :-)

Wow, and it must be amazing to see cardinals in real!

Love the horse stamp, such a nice picture!

    3. I was pleased to get a photo of the female - cards and stamps tend to focus on the bright red male.

    4. Beautiful photos, thank you for sharing them again! (now that you reminded us, I think I've seen and admired your cardinal pictures before!?).

The female is a beauty, too.
