Gifts of Friendship

I sent a letter using these stamps from 2015. They were issued on the centenary of the gift of flowering dogwoods to Japan from the US in response to a gift of cherry trees.

On the left, cherry trees blossoming in front of the Lincoln Monument, and on the right, dogwood flowers with the US Capitol Building in the background.

This was a joint issue with Japan.

Collaboration with Carroll

Here's what I added to the collaboration sheet I started with Carroll.

Sent in this envelope.

Here's the full sheet of artistamps. This is an (unexpected) collaboration with stripygoose. She turned my ink blots into birds, and I turned her bird blots into stamps.

I usually find add and pass stressful, however after my one on one add and pass back with Keith worked so well, I think that is more my speed.

Do you like art collaborations?
If you were to receive an add and pass, how would you feel?

March exchange envelopes received

From Jean - love the vintage airmail stamps

From Florence - great idea to use the 3c star stamps with 20c stamps to get to 49.

From Marti - I like how she chose a couple of different things in the address to highlight with a thicker pen.

From Kathie, an envelope made from wrapping paper with lovely matching stamp.

And Nancy's envelope, where she used a fun ombré effect for my name, and extended the thistle the bird is perched on.
