Vodka to Ti Ar Raden

The third one of these I've sent out. (Previous ones here and here if you're interested).

It went in this envelope.

Do you like to create collages? Are yours more minimal, or maximal? Funny or artistic? Political or playful?

Sunday Stamps - green fruit

Ti Ar Raden sent some green bananas on an envelope...

...and on a stamp!

The stamp is from a series in 2012 showcasing green fruit. The 'letter verte' is La Poste's economy 'eco' rate.

I also have a green fruit from Taiwan. At first glance I thought it was a green lichee, but turns out it is an atemoya - a hybrid of the sugar-apple and cherimoya (native to south america).

Farewell to the Year of the Monkey

Heleen sent this lovely ATC...

It is the final day of the year of the fire monkey, and therefore my mail art call is now officially closed. You can see the mail art received on the blog.

Almost everyone who sent me a piece of art received this card that I designed:

For the people who sent in more than one piece, and when I ran out of the monkey postcards, I did send some other items that I have not shown yet.

To Eric, envelope 144. With thanks to Scott for mailing it for me from the UK.

To Ti Ar Raden, a flier from an art gallery.

To Eva, a paper plate monkey. Pictures are from her blog, as I forgot to snap a picture of him before he left. He arrived complete, with a bit of a sore ear.

Time for clocklovers

I was a latecomer to the Clocklovers Group at IUOMA, so didn't expect any mail. Fortunately the group is awesome...

Dean mailed his Dec 22 from Paris and it arrived Jan 2, with an extra IMB. And a fantastic karate world champions stamp, too!

Heleen's was mailed around Christmas from Amsterdam, and arrived on Jan 4. Great clock stamps in and out, complete with Roman numerals which are still with us thousands of years after the Roman's aren't. Lovely 'mooi Nederland' stamps, too.

I forgot to scan the items I sent inside my envelopes. Fortunately Dean scanned his:

As did MomKat:

Ti Ar Raden shared photos, too.

Helen shared her pictures just yesterday!

Many of the items making up the mail art I sent were originally sent to me by Erni and Jon F, so each one is an unwitting collaboration of sorts.

Do not open until January 1

A few mail artists at IUOMA had a mail art exchange in the Clock Lovers group with the intention of mail arriving close to December 31st.

Here are the envelopes I sent to the group:

I forgot to take pictures/scans of the art inside, so if recipients post them I'll blog them later.

Here's what arrived in time to open on NYE.

From MomKat. Love the Greek letters on the date stamp.

Happy New Year, everyone!
