Vodka to Ti Ar Raden

The third one of these I've sent out. (Previous ones here and here if you're interested).

It went in this envelope.

Do you like to create collages? Are yours more minimal, or maximal? Funny or artistic? Political or playful?

  1. I didn't remember these collages. The sentences you added make them cool ('We're here to help' is brilliant!). And also, they make me thing of Anne Taintor postcards(which I love).

    1. 'We're here to help' is from a Southwest Airlines ticket folder. I like Anne Taunter's work a lot, so thanks for the compliment.

  2. So far my collages are more minimal. I do like some of the ones I have seen that have many details to uncover as you look at them.

  3. Brunch without booze is just a sad breakfast! Love that. Never heard it before. Filarious.

    1. I hadn't heard it either, and I thought it was perfect for this series of ads.

  4. I have never created a collage but used to like vodka; now we have had a bottle in our sideboard for over to years.

    1. Maybe celebrate the end of a successful A-Z challenge with a cocktail on Sunday?

  5. I am very bad at creating collages: not able to cut or stick as straight as I wish, too much unnecessary glue at my fingers compared to the necessary glue on the paper, perfectionism so too slow to progress and consequently impatient, etcetera... I think it easier to draw and paint.
I like to see (and receive) collages though (and I love Anne Taintor's work, too). So thank you for sharing!

    1. I also do not feel particularly comfortable with collage, although every now and again it seems easy given an idea, or the pieces at hand.

  6. Hi Phillip - I love that poster ... what a great creation to receive through the post ... it looks like she lost her shoe and has gone grey! Fun one and congratulations on the V for Vodka ... cheers Hilary

    1. I'm guessing there aren't too many 'vodkas' being blogged today.

  7. Big smiles for "brunch without...."
Oscar De La Renta looks like he's expecting the girl on the phone to reveal an embarrassing secret! "Don't let the cat out of the bag." His eyes seem to say.
Like the way the stamps come together and tell a story on these envelopes.

    1. It's a great quote, isn't it. I like the story you read from the envelope and stamps.

  8. Vodka, what a great idea! Collage is one of my favorite art techniques. The opener is fun...and so true!?
