Two together

These fun envelopes arrived on the same day.

From Jean, who lives in Iowa, the 150th anniversary of statehood of which is celebrated on these amazingly uncancelled stamps. I love how the 'leg' of the R crosses the C.

and from Lynne. You can't appreciate the metallic colors from the scan. They look great with the tamales stamp from the Delicioso set.

  1. Beautiful and inspiring ways of writing your name! The cancellation on the second has collaborated in making the envelope nice.

There is a great design on that stamp of Iowa.

    1. Not mention the large size - bigger than the stamp.

  2. Totally agree, a beautiful and inspiring typography.

Tamales, yummy! By lack of banana leaf and corn flour it is a little hard to make them here in NL as delicious as the ones I once tasted. It has been ages ago that I ate tamales: in the nineties when I was in Central America, and one day in the Netherlands, when I lived in a students flat and a housemate shared her tamales, brought to NL by her mom from Aruba. How a stamp can bring back good memories :-)

    1. Quite a few South American-inspired restaurants here in town. Just a pity I don't like spicy food.

    1. I did not realize that - thanks for the information, and now makes sense as to why it was chosen.
